Mangaluru, June 21, 2023: Promoting the natural path to a healthy and serene life, Expert Pre-University College organized the International Day of Yoga today.

Renowned yoga expert and recipient of the Dakshina Kannada District Rajyotsava Award, Yogaratna Gopalakrishna Delampady, stressed the crucial role of Yoga and meditation in enhancing students’ concentration levels.

Delampady, addressing the audience after inaugurating the event, emphasized that regular Yoga practice is essential for maintaining good physical and mental health. He emphasized the positive impact of Yoga in reducing various health-related problems and establishing a strong connection between Yoga and overall well-being.

“Proper and consistent yoga practice not only keeps us healthy and strong but also contributes to a focused mind,” he said.

Highlighting the benefits of Yoga and meditation, Delampady encouraged students to engage in daily practice to cultivate mental clarity and ease in understanding thoughts and ideas. He explained how Yoga revitalizes both the body and mind, with each Yoga asana offering distinct contributions to one’s health. Emphasizing the importance of a daily Yoga routine, Delampady commended Expert Pre-University College for their commendable dedication to incorporating Yoga into their educational framework.

The International Day of Yoga celebration witnessed captivating Yoga demonstrations by Gopalakrishna Delampady, his disciples, and the students of 2nd PUC, showcasing the practical applications and transformative effects of yoga.

Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, the Principal of the college, Karunakar Balkur, Lecturer in the Department of Kannada, Pramod Kini, Head of the Department of Hindi, along with other faculty members were present. Hindi Lecturer Ashwini B. Pai compered the program.
