 Expert PU College Opens Academic Year with ‘Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow’ Orientation

Mangaluru, May 26, 2026: Emphasising discipline, consistent effort and goal-oriented learning as keys to academic success, Expert PU College on Thursday welcomed its new batch of First PUC students with an orientation programme for the academic year 2026–27 at Expodium in Mangaluru.

Held under the theme “Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow,” the programme brought together newly admitted students and their parents and introduced them to the institution’s academic vision, learning systems and approach to competitive examination preparation. The event began with the recital of the college anthem followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.

Chairman Narendra L. Nayak, who presided over the programme, urged students to cultivate discipline, determination and hard work in pursuit of academic excellence. He stressed the importance of focused preparation for admissions to top institutions and said learning should go beyond classroom subjects to include awareness of life and one’s surroundings. Such learning, he said, prepares students to become future leaders. He also assured parents of a result-oriented academic environment supported by experienced faculty and modern infrastructure.

Vice-Chairperson Ushaprabha N. Nayak administered the student oath and formally inducted the students into the institution. In her keynote address, she highlighted the role of parents in shaping a child’s future and urged students to reflect on their personal academic ambitions and take ownership of their goals.

Director of Information Technology Ankush N. Nayak conducted a session on the institution’s technological ecosystem, familiarising students and parents with the campus digital infrastructure, online academic resources and learning platforms.

Principal Ramachandra Bhat encouraged students to remain consistent in their efforts, excel in academics and participate in co-curricular activities for holistic development.

Academic Committee member and mathematics professor B. Vinay Kumar guided students on preparation strategies for competitive examinations and outlined a roadmap for academic planning during the year.

The orientation programme served as an introduction to the institution’s academic framework, student support systems and integrated coaching model, laying the foundation for the incoming batch’s pre-university journey.

Biology lecturer Ujwal Pradeep compered the programme. Student counsellor Bharath Chandra proposed the vote of thanks. Physics lecturer Radhika Bhat, Coaching Coordinator Karunakar Balkur, Assistant Coaching Coordinator Pramod Kini and faculty members were present.
