Udupi and Dakshina Kannada DCs Transferred in Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle

Mangaluru, June 17, 2025: The Deputy Commissioners of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada are among the IAS officers transferred in a major bureaucratic reshuffle announced by the Karnataka government on Monday.

Smt. Swaroopa T K, IAS (2012), who was serving as Director of E-Governance in the RDPR Department, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district, replacing Smt. Vidyakumari K, IAS.

Sri Darshan H V, IAS (2016), Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Service Analysis Wing), Bengaluru, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, Mangaluru, replacing Sri Mullai Muhilan M P, IAS.

Sri Mullai Muhilan M P, IAS (2013), has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, Bengaluru, relieving Sri Pommala Sunil Kumar, IAS from concurrent charge.

The government also transferred several senior officers from key district and state-level posts. Among the notable transfers:

• Smt. Janaki K M, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Bagalkot, is now Secretary, Karnataka Public Service Commission, Bengaluru.
• Smt. Sathyabhama C, IAS, DC, Hassan, is the new State Project Director of Samagra Shikshana Karnataka, Bengaluru.
• Smt. Latha Kumari K S., IAS, CEO, ZP Bengaluru Urban, takes charge as DC, Hassan.
• Dr. Avinash Menon Rajendran, IAS, Special Commissioner, BBMP, is now Mission Director, National Health Mission and Directorate of Health.
• Sri Nalini Atul, IAS, DC, Koppal, is posted as Secretary, Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board and E/o Joint Secretary to Government, Kalaburagi.
• Sri Sangappa, IAS, who was awaiting posting, is the new DC, Bagalkot.
• Sri Suresh B Itnal, IAS, CEO, ZP Davanagere, is posted as DC, Koppal.
• Dr. Naveen Bhat Y, IAS, former Mission Director of NHM, is now CEO, ZP Chikkaballapur.
• Ms. Garima Panwar, IAS, is appointed MD, Karnataka Handlooms Development Corporation.
• Sri Rahul Ratnam Pandey, IAS, CEO, ZP Koppal, becomes Executive Director, Centre for Smart Governance, Bengaluru.
• Sri Prakash G T Nittali, IAS, is posted as Director of Public Instruction (Mid-Day Meals).
• Sri Varnit Negi, IAS, MD, Karnataka Handlooms, is now CEO, ZP Koppal.
• Sri Gitte Madhav Vitthal Rao, IAS, GM, Rehabilitation & Resettlement, Bagalkot, is now CEO, ZP Davanagere.

The notification was issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) in the name of the Governor of Karnataka.
