Heavy Rain: Udupi Declares Holiday for Schools, PU and ITI Students on June 17

Udupi, June 16, 2025: In view of the red alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the forecast of heavy rainfall across the district, the Udupi district administration has announced a holiday on June 17, 2025 (Tuesday), for all Anganwadis, government, aided, and private primary and high schools, as well as for pre-university (PU) and ITI students.

However, the Second PUC Exam-3 will be conducted as scheduled without any changes. There will be no holiday for students of degree, postgraduate, diploma, and engineering colleges. Colleges will remain open, but principals have been directed to implement precautionary measures.
