Healthcare Within Reach: Manipal Arogya Card Enrolment for 2025 Begins


Manipal, June 17, 2025: Marking 25 years of delivering affordable healthcare, the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) on Tuesday announced the commencement of enrolment for the Manipal Arogya Card 2025. The scheme, which began in 2000, has grown to serve lakhs of families across Karnataka and neighbouring states, offering them access to discounted medical services.
Addressing the media, Dr. H.S. Ballal, Pro-Chancellor of MAHE, officially launched the enrolment drive and recalled the contribution of Dr. T.M.A. Pai, founder of the Manipal Institute, in making quality healthcare accessible to rural India.
“The Manipal Arogya Card, introduced under the leadership of Dr. Ramdas M. Pai, Chancellor of MAHE, has now completed 25 years. From 3,200 families in the year 2000, the scheme today serves over 6.72 lakh members. In the last financial year alone, 1.25 lakh families enrolled under the scheme,” – Dr. Ballal
Cardholders are eligible for benefits across multiple healthcare facilities including Kasturba Hospital, Manipal; Dr. TMA Pai Hospitals in Udupi and Karkala; KMC Hospitals in Mangaluru and Attavar; Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital, Kateel; Manipal Hospital in Goa, and various dental and Ayurveda hospitals in Manipal and Mangaluru.

Dr. Sharath K. Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, unveiled the first Arogya Card for 2025 and handed it over to a beneficiary during the launch event.
