Srinivas University Institute of Occupational Therapy Conducts 2-Day Interbatch Indoor Sports Competitions
Mangaluru, July 28, 2026: The Institute of Occupational Therapy at Srinivas University held a two-day interbatch indoor sports competition for Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) students on July 17 and 20, as part of an initiative to encourage sportsmanship, teamwork and physical fitness.
The event opened on July 17 at the Srinivas University New Campus in Mangalore, where students from all BOT batches competed in carrom and chess between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The competitions continued on July 20 with badminton at the Perfect Pass Badminton Court in Falnir and a tug-of-war contest at the Srinivas University New City Campus.
The badminton tournament was inaugurated by Mrs. Supriya Adiga, Physical Education Director, Srinivas University, Pandeshwar Campus; Mr. Pranam Shetty, Physical Education Director, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil Campus; Mr. Ranjith Kumar of the Department of Physical Education, Srinivas University, Mukka Campus; and Mr. Pramith of the Department of Physical Education, Srinivas University, Mukka Campus.
The institute said the competitions drew enthusiastic participation from BOT students, fostering healthy competition and camaraderie among participants. It also expressed gratitude to the dignitaries for their presence and encouragement.
