Srinivas University Hosts INNOVHEALTH’26

Mangaluru, July 28, 2026: The Institute of Allied Health Sciences (IAHS) at Srinivas University, in collaboration with the Karnataka State Allied Healthcare Council, organized the two-day national conference INNOVHEALTH ’26 on July 24 and 25 at Srinivas Hotel in Mangaluru.
Held under the theme “Bridging Science, Practice and Innovation in Healthcare,” the conference drew 612 registrations and received 135 research abstracts from participants representing 23 universities and institutions across India.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Jeyakumar, Professor and Research Coordinator at Garden City University, Bengaluru, who underscored the role of allied healthcare professionals in strengthening community healthcare.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Srinivas University Honourable Chancellor Dr. A. Srinivas Rao; Srinivas University Board of Governors Trustee Members Smt. A. Vijayalakshmi R. Rao and Prof. Er. Smt. A. Mitra S. Rao; Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar; Registrar (Development) Dr. Ajay Kumar; Dean of the Institute of Allied Health Sciences and Organizing Chairperson Dr. Pavana Krishnamoorthy; and Convenor Mr. Savin K. Vidyan.

Over two days, experts from leading institutions delivered technical sessions on artificial intelligence, emergency and respiratory care, medical laboratory technology, digital psychiatry, medical imaging, diagnostics and cybersecurity in healthcare. The conference also included oral and poster presentations highlighting research by faculty members and students.
The valedictory session was presided over by Dr. U. T. Ifthikar Fareed, Chairman of the Karnataka State Allied Healthcare Council, who emphasized the need for a standardized allied healthcare curriculum across India.
Winners of the oral and poster presentation categories were felicitated during the closing ceremony. Chancellor Dr. A. Srinivas Rao congratulated the organizers and participants for the successful conduct of INNOVHEALTH ’26 and encouraged continued research and innovation in allied health sciences.
