Uttara Kannada: Holiday for schools and PU Colleges on July 25

Karwar, July 24, 2023: With the Meteorological Department issuing a heavy rainfall warning for Coastal Karnataka, the district administrations of Uttara Kannada has declared holiday for Schools and PU Colleges in all the Taluks of the district on July 25.

In response to the weather advisory, Deputy Commissioner Prabhuling Kavalikatti declared a holiday for Anganwadis, Schools and Pre-University (PU) Colleges on July 25.

IMD has issued red alert for the Coastal region.

The DC has issued an official order to this effect to protect students from potential risks associated with heavy rainfall. The decision comes as a precautionary step to safeguard the well-being of students and staff members in the wake of the forecasted adverse weather conditions.

The district administration of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada have also declared a holiday for schools and PU Colleges.
