Janashakti Vedike readies for anti-corruption campaign
Karwar, March 25, 2023: Janashakti Vedike president Madhav Nayak and his team have begun preparations for the Anti-Corruption Padayatra to be held in the Karwar constituency on March 28 and 29.
As part of their efforts to garner support, Nayak and his team visited several villages in Karwar and Ankola taluks, including Chendiya, Amadalli, Bhavikeri, Belekeri, Keni, and Avarsa.
During their visits, Nayak distributed pamphlets and spoke to villagers about the importance of eradicating corruption. The people expressed their dissatisfaction with corruption and pledged their support for the padayatra.
A number of prominent figures, including retired Supreme Court judge and Lokayukta Santosh Hegde and Padmasri Awardees Sukri Bomma Gowda and Tulasi Gowda, will participate in the rally.
The padayatra will begin on March 28 at 6.30 am from the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the Karwar Municipal Corporation Park and will pass through several villages before halting at Avarsa. The next day, the padayatra will continue from Avarsa at 8.30 am and will pass through several more villages before reaching the Ankola Shantadurga Temple at 2.30 pm. The rally will conclude with a massive meeting at Satyagraha Smarak Bhavan.
