Early closure of shops order in Dakshina Kannada extended again
Mangaluru, Aug 03, 2022: Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Dr. Rajendra KV has extended the order on early closure of shops in the district.
“Early closure of shops at 6 pm is extended from August 3 to August 5,” the order stated.
In a move to prevent any untoward incidents in the late evening and night, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Dr. Rajendra KV on July 29 had ordered the early closure of shops in the district till August 1. The restrictions were extended till August 3. Now it has been extended further.
All the urban local bodies and gram panchayats have been asked to ensure that the shops in their jurisdiction are closed down by 6. pm. However emergency services are excluded.
