Srinivas University, DK Automobile and Tyre Dealers’ Association sign MoU
Mangaluru, May 28, 2026: Srinivas University’s Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Dakshina Kannada Automobile and Tyre Dealers’ Association (DKATDA) to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and provide greater industry exposure to students.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at Hotel Srinivas in Mangaluru on Tuesday under the theme “Building Partnerships, Driving Excellence.”
The agreement aims to facilitate collaboration in student internships, industrial training, guest lectures, workshops, research activities, consultancy, entrepreneurship development and industry interaction programmes. The initiative is expected to create practical learning opportunities for students and enhance cooperation between academia and the automobile sector.
The programme was presided over by Dr A Srinivas Rao, Chancellor of Srinivas University. Among those present were Dr Adithya Kumar Maiya, Registrar (Academic), Dr Ajay Kumar, Registrar (Development), and K Vilas Kumar, president of DKATDA.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr Venkatesh S Amin, Dean of IMC and IPSLM, highlighted the importance of partnerships between educational institutions and industry bodies in improving student employability and professional development.
Representatives of DKATDA, including vice-president Harsha Kumar Kedige, secretary Shashidhar Pai Maroor and coordinator Rathnakar Pai, also attended the programme.
Speakers underlined the need for stronger industry-institution partnerships to promote innovation, skill development and sustainable growth. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Venkatesh B M.
