NEET 2025: Nikhil Sonnad of Expert college secures first rank in the state
Mangaluru, June 15, 2025: Nikhil Sonnad, a student of Expert Pre-University College, Mangalore, has achieved a historic feat by securing the 17th rank at the All India level and the first rank in the state in the UG NEET held this year for admission to medical colleges. Nikhil achieved this feat by securing 670 marks out of a total of 720 marks.
The institution has also recorded an exceptional performance this year. According to a press statement 99% of the students from the college qualified for medical education, compared to the national average of 56%.

- 57 students scored over 575
- 81 students scored above 550
- 146 students secured more than 525 marks
- 233 students scored above 500
- 324 students crossed 475 marks
- 440 students scored more than 450

“This unprecedented academic achievement reflects the dedication of both students and faculty at Expert,” Chairman Prof. Narendra L Nayak stated.
