Tech Yuva – 2025: National-Level Techno-Cultural & Sports Fest Held at Srinivas University
Mangaluru, March 12, 2025: The Srinivas University Institute of Engineering & Technology (SUIET) hosted its two-day national-level Techno-Cultural & Sports Fest, Tech Yuva – 2025, at the university’s Mukka campus.
The fest was inaugurated by Avinash Rao, Founder & CEO of iSpAgro Robotics Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, and Agrileaf Exports Pvt. Ltd., Mangaluru. In his address, he emphasized the significance of teamwork and communication in professional growth. “A good leader is nothing without a team, and effective communication is key to securing new opportunities,” he stated, urging students to learn from their peers and draw inspiration from their experiences.
Presiding over the event, Dr. Sathyanarayana Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Srinivas University, underscored the role of creativity in engineering. “Engineering without creativity is like a body without a soul. This fest is a fusion of technical brilliance and athletic excellence, offering students a platform to showcase their skills,” he remarked.
The event was attended by Dr. Praveen B.M., Director of Research, Srinivas University; Prof. Pavana Krishnamurthy, Dean, Institute of Allied Health Sciences; and Dr. Juby Mary Chacko, Dean, Institute of Nursing Sciences. The student convenors, Mohammed Saifaaz, Chaitra, and Akash Kulal, played a pivotal role in organizing the fest.
The formal program began with a welcome address by Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde, Dean of SUIET, followed by an introduction of the Chief Guest by Prof. Shrinath Rao K., Convenor of Tech Yuva. Dr. Shwetha Pai, Head of Training and Placement, delivered the vote of thanks. The event was compered by Sam Avin, with an invocation by Ms. Prajna.
Over the course of two days, the fest featured 52 competitions across technical, cultural, and sports categories, attracting participants from across the country. The diverse range of events created an engaging and enriching experience for students, reinforcing the university’s commitment to holistic learning and extracurricular excellence.
