Srinivas University: Institute of Aviation Studies Inspires Creativity with Bottle Painting Competition
Mangaluru, October 10, 2023: The Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University hosted an engaging Bottle Painting Competition on their campus for B.B.A and M.B.A Aviation Studies students. The event, held on October 3rd, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who showcased their flair for creativity and artistic expression.
Beyond the display of artistic talent, the competition underscored the significance of recycling and upcycling. Participants transformed ordinary glass bottles into extraordinary pieces of art, highlighting the potential for environmental sustainability through innovative repurposing.
Through the utilization of discarded glass bottles, students aimed to promote awareness about recycling practices and minimizing environmental impact. This innovative approach emphasized that art can be both visually appealing and environmentally responsible.
Students employed a variety of mediums, including acrylics and watercolors, to bring their chosen bottles to life. The resulting pieces ranged from vibrant landscapes to intricate abstract designs, each narrating a distinct story. The competition was adjudicated by a panel of distinguished art experts.
At the undergraduate level, the first prize was clinched by Mohammed Adhil (1st year B.B.A Aviation Management) from Team Panchajanya. The second place was secured by Hadaif (1st year B.B.A Aviation and Logistics Management) from Team Chakravyuha. Seema (3rd year B.B.A Aviation Management) from Team Poundriya secured the third position.
In the postgraduate category, John Rodrigues (1st year M.B.A Aviation Management) emerged as the winner, while Varsha (1st year M.B.A Aviation Management) was the runner-up.
Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute of Aviation Studies, congratulated the winners.
