Manipal, March 24, 2023: The Manipal Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre (MCCCC) at Kasturba Hospital in Manipal, Karnataka, has been recognized as a centre of excellence in supportive care for cancer patients by the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC), making it the first center in Asia to receive such an honor. This designation underscores MCCCC’s steadfast dedication to delivering exceptional cancer care to patients.

Dr. HS Ballal, Pro Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, presented the certificate to Dr. Naveen S Salins, Associate dean-KMC, Coordinator, Manipal Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre, and Professor & Head of the Department of Palliative Medicine and Supportive Care.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, Manipal Lt Gen (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh stated, “We are pleased to receive this honor from MASCC.
