Udupi, Nov 25, 2022: The annual ‘Maha Rathotsava,’ of Sri Chandramauleeshwara was held today.

The decoration using flowers, fruits, and vegetables was the main attraction. After the pooja and other rituals, as per the tradition the Utsava Murthy of Sri Anantheshwara and Sri Chandramauleeshwara were brought in a procession to Ratha Beedhi.

As part of the Rathotsava, the deities were taken out in a grand procession in the Chariot.

Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru of Puthige Matha, Sri Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Sripadaru of Pejawara Matha and Sri Vidyavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Kaniyooru Matha led the celebration.

In the afternoon Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru offered ‘Palla Pooje’ (a special pooja to the rice before being served to the devotees).
