Karnataka Governor Gehlot visits Karwar Naval Base
Karwar, Sept 17, 2022: Governor of Karnataka Thaawarchand Gehlot visited Karwar Naval Base on Sept 16 and 17.
He was received and conducted by Rear Admiral Atul Anand, Flag Officer Commanding Karnataka Naval Area. The Governor was presented a Guard of Honour at INS Kadamba Parade Ground.
During his visit, he interacted with the officers and families of the Karwar Naval base.
Gehlot flagged off the Swachh Sagar Surakshit Sagar campaign at Dawson Bay, Naval Base, Karwar on the occasion of International Coastal Cleanup day. He also encouraged all Naval personnel participating in this initiative and acknowledged their efforts toward saving the Environment.
He also inaugurated the Swachh Sagar Surakshit Sagar campaign at Rabindranath Tagore beach, Karwar on Saturday morning. Rear Admiral Atul Anand, FOK along with several naval personnel participated in the function organized by the District Administration.
