Karwar, October 01, 2023: In a remarkable display of community unity and environmental responsibility, Karnataka Naval Area collaborated with local authorities and government organizations in the Karwar and Ankola region to spearhead an extensive cleanliness drive as part of Special Campaign 3.0.

This joint effort, aligned with the nationwide “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 600 individuals, including service personnel, defense civilians, civil groups, and families, all working collectively to preserve the natural splendor of the area.

Karwar and Ankola boast rich natural beauty, and it is our responsibility to ensure its preservation. We take pride in partnering with the local administration for this significant initiative as part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign.

Under the banner of “Ek Tareek Ek Ghanta,” this special cleanliness drive kickstarted at various locations on October 1, 2023, at 10 am. The dedicated endeavors yielded significant results, with a substantial volume of waste diligently cleared from the designated areas.

Rear Admiral KM Ramakrishnan, Flag Officer Commanding Karnataka Naval Area, expressed his satisfaction with the collective achievement.

We take pride in partnering with the local administration for this significant initiative as part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign.
