Four teams formed to probe Praveen Nettaru murder case
Mangaluru, July 27, 2022: Four teams have been formed to probe the murder of BJP Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettar.
Praveen was attacked by three unknown assailants around 8.30 pm on Tuesday outside his shop in Bellare. He was declared dead at the hospital in Puttur.
Tension gripped in Sullia, Puttur and nearby areas following the death of the Praveen. BJP workers demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the incident. Stone pelting was reported near Linet Junction in Puttur.
Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police Rishikesh Sonawane told reporters that 4 teams have been formed to probe the case.
Meanwhile Puttur Sub Divisional Magistrate Girish Nandan M has imposed Section 144 in Puttur division from July 27 morning 6 am to July 28 midnight.
The body of Praveen was taken in a procession from Puttur to Bellare in the morning.
At Bellare, the annoyed party workers expressed anger against leaders including State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, Ministers Angara and Sunil Kumar. They also shouted slogans.
The police had to resort to lathi charge when the mob tried to pelt stone near a religious place.
