Mangaluru, August 10, 2023: Burglars who entered a store located in Mundaje, of Belthangady Taluk, made away with a sum of 50 thousand rupees in cash during the night spanning Wednesday and Thursday.

Padmesh K.S. (31), a resident of Mundaje village in Belthangadi taluk, was the victim of theft.

On August 9, 2023, at around 10 m, Padmesh, who owns a shop, had placed Rs 50 thousand cash in the drawer of his store before closing for the night. However, on the morning of August 10, when he arrived to open his shop at 6.30 am, he discovered that the shutter of the shop was partially open, revealing a grim situation.

Upon thorough inspection, it was found that thieves had broken into the shop during the night and force opened the cash drawer by using some form of weapon. They had stolen Rs 50,000 rupees in cash. The incident has been registered at Dharmasthala Police Station, under IPC sections 457,380.
