Vehicular movement curbs on Agumbe Ghat
Udupi, July 10, 2022: Udupi district Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao has issued an order prohibiting the movement of vehicles on the Agumbe Ghat section of NH 169A.
The restriction comes after the landslip in the Ghat section on Sunday morning.
Work on clearing the road is in progress and is likely to take some more time due to heavy rain in the Ghat section. Following this the Deputy Commissioner has prohibited the movement of vehicles on the ghat section till July 12, 8 am.
Between July 12 and July 30 only light vehicles will be allowed to take this road, the DC stated.
Alternate road:
- Tirthahalli-Koppa-Sringeri-Karkala-Mangaluru
- Tirthahalli-Agumbe-Sringeri-Karkala-Mangaluru
- Tirthahalli-Mastikatte-Kundapura.
