Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada declare holiday on July 6
Udupi, July 05, 2022: Holiday has been declared for schools and colleges in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada district on July 6, 2022.

Orange alert has been issued for Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts till July 7 morning.
As it is raining heavily, Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner issued an order declaring holiday for schools, colleges and Anganwadis of the district on July 6.

The DC has asked all the officials to strictly follow the order.
As it continues to rain heavily in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada, Udupi DC Kurma Rao and Dakshina Kannada DC Dr Rajendra KV have declared holiday on July 6.

Udupi DC Kurma Rao said that as it is raining heavily since last two days, holiday has been declared on July 6 as a precautionary measure.
Dr Rajendra told reporters that holiday has been declared for all Anganwadis, Schools, PU and degree colleges in DK district on July 6.
Holiday applies only for the students and not for the teaching and non teaching staff.
