Heavy rains: Holiday for Schools, Colleges in Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Udupi

Mangaluru, July 05, 2022: Following heavy rain in the district, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V has declared holiday for all schools and colleges on July 5.

“In view of continuous rainfall across the district and keeping in view the forecast of the Meteorological Department and keeping in view the safety of children, a holiday has been declared for all Anganwadi, Primary School, High School, Pre-University and Degree, Diploma/ITI Colleges in the district on 05/07/2022 as a precautionary measure,” the DC told reporters on Tuesday morning.

As it was raining heavily, the district administrations of Udupi and Uttara Kannada also declared holiday for schools and colleges on Tuesday.
