NMPA welcomes first mainline cargo vessel
Mangaluru, July 03, 2022: New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) achieved yet another milestone when the first mainline container vessel MSC Erminia berthed at the Port today.
The length of the vessel is 276.5 meters and draft 12.8 mtrs and is carrying 1771 TEUs and 1265 unit import containers.
The vessel was greeted by traditional water cannons. The container discharging was flagged off by Dr. Venkat Ramana Akkaraju, Chairman, NMPA in presence of HODs and JSW officials.
Capt R D Pais and Capt Rajnikant piloted the vessel alongside.
