Complete Jal Jeevan Mission works within stipulated time: Prasanna H

Udupi, June 10, 2022: Udupi Zilla Panchayat CEO Prasanna H directed the officials to complete all the works taken up under the Jal Jeevan Mission within the stipulated time. 

He is speaking after chairing the district water and sanitation mission committee meeting held at his office today.

“The Jal Jeevan Mission scheme would benefit 10,32,277 people of 2,42,526 households in 246 villages of 155-gram panchayats in the district. All the works should be completed by 2023. Thus all necessary steps to achieve the 

target should be undertaken,” he stated.

After providing tap water connections to the houses, he instructed the officials to install meters in each house to check the proper use of water and to create awareness that water is not wasted. The officials were asked to conduct frequent inspections.
