Minister stresses on effective implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission
Mangaluru, Feb 11, 2022: District In-charge minister V Sunil Kumar has directed the officials to ensure proper implementation of the works under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
“Over Rs. 250 crore has been released for the district under Jan Jeevan Mission. This should be utilized properly. As per the plan, 53,180 houses should be provided piped drinking water. The Taluk Panchayat Executive Officers should supervise the works and ensure beneficiaries get the benefit of the project,” he said during the Trimontly KDP meeting at the ZP office today.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra KV said that land should be provided even in Deemed forests for pipelines and Over Head Tanks. He asked the forest department officials to ensure that the drinking water project does not face any hurdles.
