Vishwa Hindi Diwas celebrated at University Evening College
Mangaluru, Jan 13, 2022: The Literary association, in association with the department of Hindi of University Evening College, Mangaluru organized “Vishwa Hindi Diwas” on Jan 10.
Rajeshwari P, Rajyabhasha Officer of Bank of Baroda, Mangaluru Branch was the Chief Guest of the event.
She appreciated Evening College students who work and study simultaneously. She expressed the importance of learning regional language and spoke about the various opportunities in the field of the Hindi language. She also suggested the students inculcate the habit of reading newspapers and try to translate words from one language to another.
Dr. Subhashini Srivathsa, Principal of University Evening College, Mangalore presided over the function.
On this occasion, Hindi poetry writing and speech competitions were held. Sharanya bagged first place and Yashwitha bagged second place in poetry writing. In the speech competition, N. Ganesh Acharya bagged first place and Ashish Shetty secured second place.
Prayer was led by III Bcom students. Sushmitha and N. Ganesh Acharya compered the function. Vaishali Salian the Programme Co-ordinator introduced the chief guest and welcomed the gathering. Liyauddin delivered the vote of thanks.
