University Evening College remembers Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on 132nd birth anniversary
Mangaluru, April 14, 2023: University Evening College in Mangaluru commemorated the Bharatha Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanthi at Shivarama Karantha Bhavana today.
Dr. Vasudeva Belle, Principal of Government P U College, Mulki was the chief guest.
Dr. Belle spoke about the relevance of Ambedkar’s contributions to modern times, describing him as a champion of human society who advocated for various constitutional rights, including women’s empowerment.
Dr. Belle urged attendees to unite to safeguard constitutional and democratic values.
In her presidential address, Principal Dr. Lakshmidevi L. expressed her gratitude to Ambedkar and honored his efforts to secure constitutional rights for women.
Dr. Jagadeesh B, the coordinator of MCom and MBA IB, was also present at the event.
The program was composed by Akshatha of I BA, while Ganesh and the team of II BA invoked the prayer. Sushmitha of II BA welcomed the gathering, and Nimitha of III BCom introduced the chief guest. K R Adithya of II BCom delivered the vote of thanks.
The event was attended by students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
