Dakshina Kannada Muslim Okkuta leaders meet Siddaramaiah
Mangaluru, Dec 20, 2021: Dakshina Kannada Muslim Okkuta leaders met former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and requested him at Belagavi today.
The leaders led by Okkuta president and former Mayor K Ashraf requested Siddaramaiah to take-up the burning issues of Dakshina Kannada district in the assembly.
“In the recent days, there are several incidents of communal tension, moral policing, attacks, assaults. The latest one was the lathi charge by the police on the peaceful protestors at Uppinangady. We requested Siddaramaiah to raise these issues in the assembly,” Ashraf said in a press statement.
“Siddramaiah responded positively and assured to take up the issue. He also promised to visit Dakshina Kannada in a few days,” he added.
Muslim Okkuta member Abdul Jaleel Krishnapur (Addaka), CM Mustafa, Moyideen Monu, Ashraf Badriya, Mohammed Stalih Bajpe, Shareef Deralakatte, Ibrahim Kailar, and others were present.
