Mangaluru, Oct 26, 2021: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner has reiterated that the schools cannot force the parents to purchase books and uniforms from the school or particular sellers.

The Deputy Commissioner made an official announcement regarding this on Monday.

“Parents are free to purchase the books, uniform, or other writing materials from any vendor in the open market. Educational institutions cannot impose any restrictions. This has already been conveyed to the schools. But if such incidents continue, strict action will be taken against the school,” the DC said.

“If the parents have any complaint they can directly complain to the DDPI (Administration), Mangaluru.
