Now Mangaluru women police get work from home option

Mangaluru, April 18, 2021: Following increase in COVID cases in the city, pregnant and lactating women police personnel have been given the option of work from home in Mangaluru City.

Mangaluru City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar told reporters that all pregnant women in later stages of their pregnancy and lactating police personnel are exempted from coming to the office and station.

“Following the request made by women officers and staff this relaxation has been given. They are permitted to work from home till this month-end and later as per the requirement of time and circumstances,” he said.

“They have been asked to work from home. Their presence in the headquarters will be confirmed on daily basis and they are not supposed to leave the headquarters. In case of any emergency they will be called back to work,” he added.
