Udupi, March 06, 2023: Sri Bhotarajara Dandebali, the special pooja offered to Sri Bhootarajaru, was performed today at Sonda (Sode) in Sirsi Taluk of Uttara Kannada district during the ongoing annual Rathotsava celebration.

Hundreds of devotees gathered to witness the event and seek blessings from Sri Bhootarajaru.

The program was led by Sri Vishwavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Sode Matha. Senior pontiff of Palimaru Matha, Sri Vidyadheesha Tirtha Sripadaru, junior pontiff of Palimaru Matha, Sri Vidyarajeshwara Tirtha Sripadaru, and Sri Vedavardhana Tirtha Sripadaru of Shirooru Matha were also present at the event.

The annual Rathotsava celebration is a major event in Sonda, and devotees from across the district and neighboring areas participate in the festivities.

Bhotarajara Dandebali is a significant event in the annual Rathotsava celebration at Sonda. The pooja is performed to invoke the blessings of Sri Bhootarajaru, who is believed to be the guardian deity of the region.
