Yellamavasye: Udupi seers take holy dip at Mattu
Udupi, Jan 02, 2022: As part of Yellamavasya, Swamijis of Udupi had a holy dip in the sea at Mattu village on Sunday.
Sri Vidyadheesha Tirtha Sripadaru and Vidyarajeshwara Tirtha Sripadaru of Palimaru Matha, Vidyavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Kaniyooru Matha, Sri Vishwavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Sode Vadiaraja Matha had a dip in the sea and offered ‘Dandodaka,’ and ‘Tarpana.’
Based on the request of the disciples, the seers also had a ride on the boat.
Praveen Tantri of Mattu Sri Vishnumurthy Temple, Mattu Lakshminarayana Rao, Temple Archak Srikantha Acharya, Chandappa Kotyan, and others of the village offered flowers and Mattu Gulla.
On the occasion BJP state vice president Nayana Ganesh, Kote Panchayat former vice president Ganesh Kumar Mattu, Kote Panchayat member Nagaraj Mattu, Ramesh Poojary, Prema Kundar, Rathnakar, Sadarama Mendon, Keshva Suvarna Mattu, Harsha Mattu, Karavali Mattu Bhajana Mandali president and members and devotees were present.
