Manipal, April 1:
Kasturba Hospital has decided to start consultation via telemedicine for its existing patients.
“From April 2 we are introducing consultation via Telemedicine for our existing patients,” Dr. Avinash Shetty, Medical Superintendent, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal announced.
Due to the Lockdown to control the spread of COVID-19 there are certain restrictions on the movement of the public. Many patients are in trouble as they find it difficult to have timely consultation with doctors and also for their follow up.
“Realizing this fact, in order to continue to provide consultation and follow-up support to our existing patients, the Management has decided to introduce consultation via Telemedicine Services to the patients,” a press statement said.
“Under this service, people can contact their doctors by sitting in their homes. The doctors will give consultation and medical advice through the phone. People can contact our specialist doctors of all the departments from 9 am to 4 pm by calling 080 47192235.
Fever Clinic and Emergency services will be functional as usual.
