SDPI wants police to book case against Sangh Parivar activists
Mangaluru, Aug 06: The Social Democratic Federation of India (SDPI) has demanded the police to file suo motu case against Sangh Parivar activists who held ‘Vijayotsav,’ despite prohibitory orders in the district.
“To prevent any untoward incidents in the backdrop of Ayodhya Bhoomi Poojan the district administration had imposed prohibitory orders. Celebration as well as protest was banned. Neglecting this order, Sangh Parivar held Vijayotsav by bursting crackers in many places in the district,” SDPI district president Athavulla Jokatte alleged in a press statement.
“While permission was not given to hold protest against the foundation stone laying and Central government’s stand, officials turning silent during Vijayotsava shows the double standard of the police department,” he said.
“Police should book suo motu case against those who held Vijayotsava by violating the prohibitory orders,” he demanded.
