Mangaluru: Srinivas Institute to Host ‘Trenova’ Seminar on Sustainable Architecture



Mangaluru, April 24, 2025: The Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, is set to host a two-day seminar series titled ‘Trenova’ on April 24 and 25, organized by the Srinivas School of Architecture. The event will bring together renowned architects who have made significant contributions to eco-conscious and sustainable architecture.
The seminar will open on April 24 with a session by Ar. Nilam K. Manjunath, Founder and CEO of the Centre for Green Building Materials and Technology (CGBMT), Bengaluru. A leading architect and planner with over three decades of experience, Ar. Manjunath is internationally recognized for her pioneering work in bamboo architecture and energy-efficient design. With academic training from institutions like the Harvard Graduate School of Design, she blends traditional wisdom with modern sustainability practices in her architectural approach.
On April 25, Ar. Sharath R. Nayak, Director at Biome Environmental Solutions, Bengaluru, will deliver the second keynote. Known for his ecological design principles and material sensitivity, Ar. Nayak’s award-winning projects—including the acclaimed Atelier School—have set benchmarks in sustainable building practices. His session is expected to offer students valuable insights through case studies and personal reflections on building green futures.
The seminar will be held in the presence of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal; Ar. Vasudev N. Shet, Head of the Department; and Ar. Kumarchandra, Dean, along with faculty, students, and architecture enthusiasts.
