Corporate Cricket Carnival Unveiled: Kasturba Hospital Hosts 4th Edition of KH-CCL 2025
Manipal, Jan 17, 2025: Enthusiasm and camaraderie took center stage as the 4th edition of the Kasturba Hospital Corporate Cricket League (KH-CCL) 2025 was inaugurated in Manipal. This much-anticipated three-day cricketing event, organized by Kasturba Hospital Manipal, has drawn participation from 24 teams representing corporate companies, banks, medical associations, and media houses across Karnataka.
The grand inauguration ceremony unfolded at the scenic Manipal End Point ground, with the prestigious trophy unveiled jointly by Dr. H S Ballal, Pro-Chancellor, and Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M D Venkatesh, VSM (Retd.), Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, Manipal.
Dr. Ballal, in his keynote address, highlighted MAHE Manipal’s steadfast support for sports and extracurricular activities, commending Kasturba Hospital for fostering a holistic developmental ecosystem through initiatives like the corporate cricket league.
Dr. Venkatesh underscored the tournament’s value as a platform that not only strengthens inter-organizational relationships but also provides participants with a refreshing break and an avenue for exchanging ideas and perspectives.
The event witnessed the presence of an array of dignitaries, including Dr. Raviraj N S, COO, MAHE Manipal; Dr. Sharath Kumar Rao, Pro-Vice Chancellor, MAHE; Mr. C G Muthana, Advisor, MAHE; Dr. Arun Mayya, Dean-MCHP; Dr. Padmaraj Hegde, Dean-KMC; Dr. Anand Venugopal, COO-Teaching Hospitals, MAHE; Dr. Avinash Shetty, Medical Superintendent, Kasturba Hospital; and other senior members of the MAHE management team. Their collective presence lent prestige to the inauguration.
Spanning from 17th to 19th January 2025, the KH-CCL promises high-octane matches and spirited competition against the picturesque backdrop of the Manipal End Point ground. Beyond cricket, the event offers a vibrant networking platform for professionals from diverse sectors, fostering collaboration and camaraderie.
The tournament will culminate with a valedictory ceremony on Sunday, 19th January 2025, at 4:00 PM, marking the conclusion of a memorable celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork. With such an energetic kickoff, KH-CCL 2025 is set to leave an indelible mark on the sporting calendar of the region.
