SSRVM Embodies Guruji’s Teachings with a Heartfelt New Year Service Initiative
Mangaluru, Jan 03, 2025: Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir (SSRVM) celebrated the beginning of 2025 with a meaningful gesture of service, reflecting the principles of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Guruji. As part of the Annapurna Seva initiative, the school community actively gathered and distributed essential groceries, fruits, and daily necessities to Saanidhya School for Special Children, Bhagini Samaj Orphanage, and Matha Lakshani Shanthi Dhama, an old-age home.
Led by Principal Suresh Mahalingapur, students, parents, and teachers joined hands to ensure that love and care reached these institutions.
“This Annapurna Seva reflects our commitment to service, aligning with Guruji’s values. It also teaches our students the importance of kindness and community care,” Principal Mahalingapur said.
The event was more than just a donation drive—it was a lesson in selflessness for the students. As part of Guruji’s vision of seva, or selfless service, participants experienced the joy of giving firsthand. Many described the act of distributing essentials as deeply emotional and fulfilling, reinforcing the belief that small gestures of kindness can leave a lasting impact.
The distributed items included food staples, fresh fruits, and other daily necessities, all offered with blessings and heartfelt prayers.
With this act, SSRVM has set an inspiring tone for the year ahead, encouraging others to embrace the spirit of giving and work towards a more compassionate society.
As one parent put it, “This is the kind of start to the year that truly matters—one where we give back to the community and instill these values in the next generation.”
