New Water Usage Rates Announced by Udupi Municipality
Udupi, December 5: The Udupi City Municipality has announced revised water usage tariffs effective from December 1, following a resolution passed in the general meeting of the municipal council. The revised tariffs, applicable within the municipal limits, are as follows:
For Domestic Usage:
- Up to 8,000 liters: ₹9
- Above 8,000 liters: ₹12
- Above 15,000 liters: ₹15
- Above 25,000 liters: ₹25
For Non-Domestic Usage:
- Up to 8,000 liters: ₹25
- Above 8,000 liters: ₹30
- Above 15,000 liters: ₹40
- Above 25,000 liters: ₹50
For Commercial/Industrial Usage:
- Up to 8,000 liters: ₹45
- Above 8,000 liters: ₹55
- Above 15,000 liters: ₹65
- Above 25,000 liters: ₹70
Additionally, a connection fee will be charged as follows:
- Domestic connections: ₹72
- Non-domestic connections: ₹200
- Commercial/Industrial connections: ₹360
