Mangaluru, May 01, 2024: The Srinivas University Institute of Engineering & Technology (SUIET) became a hub of innovation and creativity as it hosted the much-anticipated Final Year B.Tech Engineering Students Project Exhibition-2024.

The event, held at SUIET’s premises in Mukka, Mangaluru, saw a convergence of distinguished guests, faculty members, and aspiring engineers, marking the culmination of months of hard work and ingenuity.

Ajith Kamath, Managing Director of Ajit Enterprises and Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mangaluru District Council inaugurated the event. He commended the students for their innovative endeavors, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning, problem-solving, effective communication, and societal engagement.

He engaged in an interactive session with the students, sharing insights on entrepreneurship and investment opportunities, inspiring the budding engineers to explore new horizons.

Dr A Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor of Srinivas University, presided over the ceremony. He reiterated the significance of innovation, research, and development, underscoring Srinivas University’s commitment to fostering a culture of research-based learning. He urged the students to set clear goals, strive for excellence, and embrace positivity and altruism as guiding principles.

A total of 65 innovative projects spanning various disciplines including Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Nano Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Cyber Security & Cyber Forensics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Robotics, and AIVR were showcased and demonstrated by the final year engineering students.

Dr. K. Satyanarayana Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Srinivas University, encouraged the students to nurture self-belief and maintain a positive outlook towards life’s challenges, highlighting the innate engineering spirit within each individual.

The dignitaries, along with faculty members, extensively reviewed the project models, lauding the students and faculty for their commendable efforts in conceptualizing and executing projects with practical utility.

Dr. Thomas Pinto delivered the welcome address and keynote address, Prof. Shrinath Rao briefed about the Project Exhibition-2024 and introduced the chief guest to the gathering, Prof. Shwetha Pai (Training & Placement Officer) delivered the Vote of Thanks. Disha Ameen performed the invocation and Prof. Rohan Fernandes compered the program.

The formal inauguration program and project exhibition witnessed the enthusiastic participation of Heads of Departments, faculty members, staff, and students.
