Udupi: Stroke Rehabilitation Camp at Dr TMA Pai Hospital

Udupi, March 21, 2024: Dr TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi, in partnership with the Centre for Comprehensive Stroke Rehabilitation and Recovery (CCSRR), MAHE, Manipal, is set to host a free Stroke Rehabilitation Camp on Saturday, March 23 from 9 am to 12.30 pm.
The Department of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech & Hearing will extend their expertise during the camp, conducting awareness sessions on stroke, interactive Q&A sessions, screening for stroke-related issues, and providing invaluable personalized advice on rehabilitation.
Regular services from the Physiotherapy, Speech & Hearing, and Occupational Therapy departments are available at Dr TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi, on all working days.
Dr Shashikiran Umakanth, Medical Superintendent of Dr TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi, stressed the importance of this initiative, urging those affected by stroke and caregivers to take advantage of the services provided at the camp.
Dr Arun Maiya, Dean of Manipal College of Health Professions, and Dr John Solomon, Coordinator of CCSRR, encouraged the community to utilize the top-tier allied health services available in the region for stroke recovery.
