Udupi Witnesses Grand Paryaya of Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru
Udupi, Jan 18, 2024: In a resplendent ceremony on January 18th, the spiritual realm of Udupi witnessed the grand ascension of Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru to the revered Sarvajna Peetha of Puthige Matha. The divine event unfolded with a spectacular procession, commencing from Jodukatte and gracefully parading through Rathabeedi, drawing an enthusiastic multitude of devotees.
A majestic procession from Jodukatte to Rathabeedi became a spiritual spectacle, captivating the hearts of thousands of devotees who gathered to witness the divine transition. The journey continued as Swamiji, accompanied by the junior pontiff Sri Suhreendra Tirtha Sripadaru, entered the hallowed precincts of Udupi Krishna Matha.
The sacred odyssey unfolded with reverent darshan of Sri Krishna at Kanakana Kindi, followed by soulful prayers at the shrines of Sri Anantheshwara and Sri Chandramauleeshwara. A heartfelt pooja was offered to Sri Acharya Madhva, epitomizing a seamless blend of tradition and devotion.
The symbolic transfer of sacred responsibilities took place as Sri Vishwapriya Tirtha Sripadaru of Adamaru Matha bestowed upon Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru the Akshaya Patra-Sattuga and the symbolic key of Sri Krishna Matha, signifying the passage of spiritual guardianship.

Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru ascended the Sarvajna Peetha in the religious ceremony held at ‘Simhasana’ of Sri Krishna Matha.
A grand Paryaya darbar followed. In the afternoon Pallapooja was held before the grand ‘Annadana.’ Thousands of devotees had Anna Prasada.
The august gathering included esteemed dignitaries, ministers, and foreign delegates, attesting to the global resonance of this sacred event.
