St. Mary’s College Hosts Yuva Nidhi Mela
Shirva, Jan 08, 2024: Yuva Nidhi Mela, the program organised by Vocational Consulting, Guidance, and Placement Cell of St. Mary’s College- Shirva, in collaboration with the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Livelihood and IQAC, was inaugurated today. The two day event is being held at the college’s audio-visual room.
“Residents of Karnataka who are not pursuing higher education can apply. Selected degree holders will receive Rs 3,000 monthly, while diploma graduates will receive Rs 1,500, directly credited to their accounts,” College principal, Harold Ivan Monis, who presided over the function said.
K. Praveen Kumar, Coordinator of Career Consulting, Guidance, and Placement Cell, emphasized the importance for unemployed students to register with accurate information, urging them to make optimal use of the State Government’s flagship scheme, Yuva Nidhi. He said while applying, candidates must furnish essential documents like voter ID, degree/diploma certificates, Aadhar card, bank details, and other necessary documentation.
Matilda D’Souza, Second Division Assistant of the College Office, along with lecturers, non-teaching staff, and students, were present. Students Vian Macwin Mathias and Harsha V Poojary assisted in facilitating the program. K. Praveen Kumar, Head of the Department of Computer Science, welcomed the gathering.
