DC Mullai Muhilan inaugurates Amarashilpi Jakanachari Jayanti
Mangaluru, January 01, 2023: Deputy Commissioner Mulai Muhilan MP lauded the monumental legacy of Amarashilpi Jakanachari, emphasizing his unparalleled contributions to sculpture that illuminated history centuries ago.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed these sentiments while inaugurating the Amarashilpi Jakanachari Jayanti program at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday.
Highlighting Jakanachari’s pivotal role in creating some of the finest sculptures in India’s illustrious history, particularly in Belur Halebidu, the Deputy Commissioner underscored that his contributions will forever be etched in memory.
Sundaracharya Belavai who addressed the gathering, fondly recalling Jakanachari’s significant contributions.
The event was attended by Additional DC Dr. Santhosh Kumar, Mangaluru AC Harshavardhan, and leaders from the Vishwakarma Brahmana Community.
Kannada and Culture Department Assistant Director Rajesh G welcomed the gathering.
