Manipal College of Health Professions Celebrates its 24th Annual Awards Day
Manipal, Nov 21, 2023: Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP) held its 24th Annual Awards Day on Nov 21.
Recognized as the first and largest of its kind in India, MCHP has earned acclaim for producing exceptional allied health professionals who play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing various medical conditions, significantly contributing to multidisciplinary health teams and elevating patient outcomes.
Vice Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Lt. Gen Dr M D Venkatesh. Dr Venkatesh, in his inaugural address, emphasized MCHP’s commitment to nurturing graduates poised for successful careers in the dynamically evolving global healthcare sector.
Highlighting the institution’s substantial growth since its inception, he noted its recognition as a center of excellence in allied health sciences in India. This recognition stems from the institution’s demand-driven health programs, state-of-the-art infrastructure, clinical facilities, and a team of dedicated, qualified faculty members.
Dr Sharath K Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences, MAHE, proudly spotlighted the college’s extensive educational offerings, boasting over 70 diverse programs. He acknowledged the global placements of the college’s alumni in esteemed universities, hospitals, healthcare teams, and private practices.
Dr G Arun Maiya, Dean of Manipal College of Health Professions welcomed the attendees and presented an overview of the faculty’s and students’ commendable achievements in 2023. A special moment ensued with the felicitation of Dr Priyanka Gupta, presently serving at AIMS, Delhi, who received the esteemed Best Alumni Award 2023.
Associate Deans Dr Reshmi B and Dr Venkataraja Aithal, alongside Dr Shovan Saha, Chair of Alumni Relations, also attended the ceremony.
