Karwar, November 03, 2023: Deputy Commissioner Gangu Bai Manakar has directed district officials to expedite the processing of applications from the public seeking various government facilities. She emphasized the need for timely delivery of government services and warned of strict action against officials responsible for unnecessary delays in file disposal.
The directive came following a review of files from the Backward Classes Department during a district committee meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Karwar.

During the district committee meeting, the DC efficiently cleared a total of 126 files.
“If any department lacks supporting documents for applications submitted by the public, they should promptly inform the applicants. All departments are expected to collaborate with the public, assisting them in obtaining the necessary documents and ensuring proper file processing,” she emphasized. Additionally, Manakar reiterated that severe disciplinary measures would be taken against officials and staff found deliberately delaying file disposal.
To expedite the disposal of files related to urgent public matters, the DC assured that files submitted by various departments will be promptly reviewed at her level. She encouraged officials to directly approach her for swift approval of files with immediate public importance.
