Srinivas University: IPSLM Welcomes New Batch with Orientation Programme
Mangaluru, Aug 02, 2023: Srinivas University Institute of Port, Shipping & Logistics Management (IPSLM) held its Orientation Programme 2023-24 today at the Srinivas University City Campus in Pandeshwar.
The event aimed to acquaint the incoming students with the institution’s vision, values, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
In his presidential address, Dr. A. Raghavendra Rao, the Chancellor of Srinivas University and President of A. Shama Rao Foundation, assured the students that the institution would provide them with ample opportunities to develop the skills necessary to achieve their aspirations.
He emphasized the significance of humbleness in a student’s life, believing it to be an essential quality that would help them shine like diamonds upon the successful completion of their undergraduate program.
Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro-Chancellor of Srinivas University and Vice President of A. Shama Rao Foundation, stressed the need for specialized knowledge in today’s industries. He urged the students to be committed to their studies, as it is the key to realizing their dreams.
A. Vijayalakshmi R. Rao, a Trustee member of Srinivas University Board of Governors, extended her warm wishes to the students, hoping for a fruitful and enriching student life.
During the ceremony, Prof. A. Mitra S. Rao, another Trustee member of Srinivas University Board of Governors, administered the oath, symbolizing the students’ commitment to their education and personal growth.
Dr. Ajay Kumar, the Development Registrar of Srinivas University, highlighted the importance of dedicating four years of focused effort to studies for experiencing lasting happiness and fulfillment in life. He emphasized that this commitment to learning would lay the foundation for a rewarding and satisfying future.
The Orientation Programme also featured briefings by faculty members. Prof. Nelson Pereira, Head of UG Courses, provided insights into the courses offered by the Institute of Port, Shipping & Logistics Management.
Dr. Sonia Noronha, Dean of IPSLM, welcomed the gathering. Prof. Sagar Srinivas, Head of MBA, delivered the vote of thanks. Prof. Souparnika and Prof. Meghashree compered the program.
