Udupi District Declares Holiday for Schools and PU Colleges on July 27
Udupi, July 26, 2023: With the Meteorological Department issuing heavy rainfall alert in Coastal Karnataka, Udupi DC has taken precautionary measures and declared a holiday for Schools and Pre-University (PU) Colleges in all the Taluks of the district on July 27.
In light of the weather advisory, the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi made the decision to declare a holiday for Anganwadis, Schools, and PU Colleges to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the Coastal region, signaling the possibility of severe rainfall and potential risks to the local communities.
