Mangaluru, July 15, 2023: Srinivas University organized the Inaugural program of Fusion Collective at Srinivas University Mukka Campus on July 14 .

Media Choreographer, Kaushik Suvarna, was the chief guest. He emphasized the importance of students seizing opportunities to explore and discover their true selves.

Suryanarayana Bhat, Program Executive of All India Radio Mangaluru, expressed concern over the excessive reliance on technology among children. He noted that the Covid pandemic had further intensified this trend, leading to a neglect of vital activities and hindering verbal communication skills. He emphasized the importance of finding a healthy balance and addressing the physical and mental health issues arising from excessive technology use.

Prof Mitra S. Rao, Trustee member of the Srinivas University Board of Governors, acknowledged the benefits of technology while urging students to explore talents beyond its realm. Embracing diverse skills and interests, he emphasized, is a crucial step towards unlocking hidden potentials and promoting personal growth.

Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro-Chancellor of Srinivas University, shed light on the decline in mental resilience among children and the role parents play in this trend. He highlighted the negative impact of high expectations and stressed the importance of fostering and supporting children’s talents to ensure their overall happiness and well-being.

In his presidential address, Dr. A. Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor of Srinivas University, underscored the significance of recognizing and supporting talents. He advocated for incorporating public speaking into the curriculum to cultivate confident communication skills. Encouraging students’ talents, he emphasized, is vital for their personal growth and development.

Dr. Anil Kumar, the Registrar of Srinivas University, and Dr. Thomas Pinto, the Dean of SUIET (Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology), were present. Dr. Netravathi P.S., the Associate Dean of SUIET, welcomed the gathering, while Prof. Shwetha Pai delivered the vote of thanks.
