District in-charge ministers named for DK and Udupi
Udupi/Mangaluru, June 09, 2023: In the government notification issued today, Laxmi Hebbalkar and Dinesh Gundu Rao have been appointed as district in-charge ministers for Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts, respectively. Additionally, Mankal Vaidya will take charge of Uttara Kannada district.
The appointment of district in-charge ministers for all districts was officially announced by the government through the notification today. With no representatives from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts in the state cabinet, speculations arose regarding the appointment of in-charge ministers for these two districts.
Laxmi Hebbalkar, the MLA from Belgaum Rural and Minister for Women and Child Welfare, will now assume the role of overseeing the development and governance of Udupi district. Meanwhile, Dinesh Gundu Rao, the MLA of Gandhi Nagar and Minister of Health and Family Affairs, will take charge of the responsibilities in Dakshina Kannada district.
Mankal Vaidya, MLA from Bhatkal is the Minister of Port and Fisheries.
